UK police are searching for Pankaj Lamba, accused of killing his wife, Harshita Brella, in East London in November 2024. Brella, 24, was found strangled and hidden in a car boot. The couple had moved from Delhi to the UK earlier that year. Lamba fled to India soon after the murder. He was later seen running a small shop near Delhi, where he reportedly kept his face covered. The shop shut down in April when police began tracing him. Brella’s family says both UK and Indian authorities have failed to act. The case is under investigation by the IOPC. A deadly car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station killed at least eight people on Monday evening. The explosion happened around 6:52 pm in a Hyundai i20 near Gate No. 1, when the car was halted at a traffic signal. Several people were injured and admitted to LNJP Hospital. Police have busted a major terror module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) in a joint operation across Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana. Seven people, including two doctors, have been arrested. Officials said 2,900 kg of IED material, arms, and ammunition were seized. The case is linked to the earlier recovery of 350 kg of explosives from a rented house in Faridabad. One of the accused, Dr Muzammil Shakil, worked at Al Falah University. A 23-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh, Rajyalakshmi (Raji) Yarlagadda, was found dead in Texas, US, on November 7. She had recently completed her MS in computer science at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and was looking for a job. Raji, from Karanchedu village, had been suffering from cough and chest pain for a few days before her death. Her family, who depend on farming, has started a GoFundMe campaign to help with funeral costs and repay her education loan. The cause of death is still under investigation.
