India’s four new labour codes — the Code on Wages, Industrial Relations Code, Code on Social Security and Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions Code — came into effect on 21 November 2025, ushering major change in the regulatory landscape. Market watchers expect large swings in labour-intensive sectors such as autos, chemicals, paints, oil, and pharmaceuticals: while improved job security and worker welfare broadly promise long-term strength, input costs may rise in the near term. Ten stocks identified for focus on Monday include: Asian Paints, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Larsen & Toubro (LT), Cipla, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Aurobindo Pharma, Tata Steel, JSW Steel and Reliance Industries. Analysts say any short-term dip in these stocks may offer a long-term buying opportunity.
