A woman drove her car on railway tracks from Shankarpally to Hyderabad, causing panic and halting train services. The incident happened on Thursday and was caught on video. Railway staff tried to stop her, but she refused. She finally crashed the car into trees after driving some distance on the tracks. Her car’s windows were broken in the crash. The railway police rescued her and took her into custody. It was later confirmed that she was drunk while driving. Train services between Bengaluru and Hyderabad were briefly suspended. A passenger bus fell into the Alaknanda River in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, on Thursday. One woman died, and seven others were injured. Two of the injured are 9-year-old children. A French tourist was allegedly raped in Udaipur, Rajasthan, after a man she met at a party lured her to his flat under the pretext of showing her the city’s sights. The incident occurred Monday night near Tiger Hill. According to the FIR, the woman repeatedly asked to return to her hotel, but the accused took her to his apartment, where he assaulted her. With her phone dead, she was unable to call for help. She later admitted herself to a private hospital, which informed police. Authorities have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused. 3 villagers died after inhaling poisonous gas while trying to save a calf that fell into a well in Dharnavada village, Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon. 6 people went into the well. One came out feeling dizzy. The others fell unconscious. Rescue teams pulled out 3, but they were declared dead at the hospital. Efforts are still on to save the remaining 2. The well had 12 feet of water, making rescue work hard. Officials said the calf fell in when people chased it away while picking mangoes. Police and rescue teams are at the spot.
