MLA Sunil Tingre is under scrutiny following revelations of 45 missed calls from Vishal Agarwal, father of the juvenile involved in the fatal Porsche crash in Pune. The calls were made between 2:30 AM and 3:45 AM on May 19. Tingre, present at the Yerawada police station until 6 AM, denies influencing the investigation. Allegations also link Tingre to Dr. Ajay Taware, accused of tampering with the minor's blood samples. The NCP has asked Tingre to clarify his involvement. Delhi's Karkardooma court denied bail to former JNU student leader Umar Khalid in a UAPA case linked to the 2020 Delhi riots. Khalid, imprisoned since September 2020, sought bail citing delays and parity with other accused. Special judge Sameer Bajpai reserved the order on May 13. The Delhi police opposed the plea, labeling it "frivolous and baseless." Khalid's counsel argued no terror charges were substantiated and claimed a biased media trial. Police recovered Rs 2.5 lakh from Halnor and Rs 50,000 from Ghatkamble. Suspicions arose when initial tests showed no alcohol in the teen's blood, later revealed to be tampered evidence. Maharashtra government forms panel to probe the hospital's involvement.

A bomb threat on IndiGo flight 6E2211 from Delhi to Varanasi prompted an emergency evacuation on Tuesday. Passengers exited via emergency doors while the aircraft was moved to an isolation bay for inspection. A tissue paper with "bomb" written on it was found in the lavatory, sparking the alert. Security protocols were followed, with aviation security and bomb disposal squads on site. No explosives were found, confirming the threat was a hoax. Naveen Khichi, owner of Baby Care New Born Hospital in east Delhi, and on-duty doctor Akash have been remanded to police custody until May 30 following a fire that killed seven babies. The fire broke out on Saturday night, leading to a magisterial probe ordered by the Delhi government. Investigations revealed expired licenses and underqualified staff. A case has been registered under sections including culpable homicide. Twelve babies were admitted during the incident; seven died, and five are being treated. Khichi, previously accused of negligence in 2021, had absconded but was arrested on Sunday.
