Reported around 2:05 pm, the fire spans 40-50 acres, posing a challenge for firefighters battling to extinguish it. While the exact cause remains unknown, authorities assure the public there's no immediate danger. Efforts are underway to control the blaze engulfing the forest area.

President Droupadi Murmu awarded Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, to Lal Krishna Advani, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, at his Delhi residence. Deepak Sharma, an All India Football Federation (AIFF) executive committee member, was arrested by Goa Police for allegedly assaulting two female football players from Khad FC. Sharma, also the owner of the club, reportedly attacked the players in their room on March 28. He faces charges including causing hurt and using force against women. Sandesh Chodankar, deputy superintendent of police, confirmed the arrest, stating Sharma will be presented in court on March 31. The Goa Football Association (GFA) aided the victims in filing the complaint.

One accused is using Hindu names to evade capture. The agency shares pictures and details of preferred accommodations. The accused, Shazib and Taha, often disguise themselves. Information can be shared anonymously. Meanwhile, Muzammil Shareef, a co-conspirator, was arrested earlier. Investigations reveal Shareef provided logistic support to the wanted accused. The blast on March 1 left several injured and caused extensive property damage, prompting a nationwide manhunt.

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot summoned by ED in the liquor policy case following CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest. Gahlot, an AAP leader, allegedly allowed AAP communication in-charge Vijay Nair to use his official residence during the policy drafting. ED claims the draft was leaked to 'South Group'. Kejriwal in ED custody till April 1, earlier sent till March 28. Other AAP members arrested include Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Sanjay Singh. Case involves alleged corruption and money laundering in Delhi's liquor policy formulation and execution.

Mukhtar Ansari's body reached his Gazipur home amid tight security for his funeral following his death in Banda jail from a heart attack. His elder brother, Sibgatullah Ansari, disclosed the last rites delay due to late body retrieval, set for Saturday morning. Ansari, once a criminal figure turned politician, was alleged by his family to have been poisoned by the local administration. However, post-mortem results by a panel of five doctors dismissed these claims, confirming myocardial infarction as the cause of death, according to a senior hospital source speaking anonymously.
