The Special Cell of Delhi Police has captured a suspected ISIS terrorist, Shahnawaz alias Shafi Uzzama, a fugitive on the National Investigative Agency's most-wanted list. He was hiding in Delhi after escaping Pune, Maharashtra. The NIA had offered a reward of Rs 3 lakh for his arrest. The terrorist module, which included Shahnawaz and three others, was allegedly planning terror attacks in northern India under the guidance of foreign handlers. During the arrest, incriminating materials for IED fabrication were also recovered. Several other individuals linked to this ISIS module have been detained for further investigation.

The CBI has arrested four people including two men and two women, besides detaining two girls, in the horrific Manipur case where photos of murdered students surfaced online. The accused were flown from Imphal to Guwahati. Those arrested have been identified as Paominlun Haokip, Malsawn Haokip, Lhingneichong Baite and Tinneikhol. One detained is the friend of the killed girl. A joint team of Manipur Police and Army captured the suspects from Churachandpur district. After apprehension, the forces swiftly took them to the airport for a flight with waiting CBI officials. The tense one hour wait at the airport fortunately passed off without untoward incidents.
