The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at approximately three dozen locations across several Indian states, including Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. Two women were arrested in Bengaluru for using Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Murty's name, and photo to dupe people. Murty is UK PM Rishi Sunak's mother-in-law. The accused were identified as Lavanya and Shruti. Murty's office found out after seeing ads for a US event listing her as chief guest. Lavanya had posed as Murty's PA, confirming her presence. Shruti collected over INR3000 and claimed Murty attending the US program. Case filed for IT Act violation, cheating. The Mumbai police's crime branch has filed a fourth supplementary chargesheet in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case, naming Pakistani-origin Canadian businessman Tahawwur Rana as an accused. Rana is accused of being an operative of ISI and Lashkar-e-Taiba and supporting the attack's mastermind, David Coleman Headley, during his reconnaissance in Mumbai. Rana had stayed in a Mumbai hotel for 10 days before the attack. Currently, Rana is imprisoned in the United States in connection with a journalist's murder case. His possible extradition to India is expected in the coming months.
