Yemen's Houthi rebels, aligned with the "Axis of Resistance" backed by Iran, have entered the Israel-Hamas conflict by launching drones and missiles at Israel from more than 1,000 miles away in Sanaa. They criticized Biden's unconditional support for Israel amid civilian casualties. With Michigan's narrow 2020 margin, Muslim votes could be decisive. Muslim Minnesotans also issued an ultimatum and plan protests during Biden's upcoming visit. Rep. Rashida Tlaib said in a video not to count on her 2024 vote given Biden's backing of Israel's "genocidal campaign." The threats highlight growing anger in Arab and Muslim communities over Biden's failure to condemn Israel's Gaza attacks.

The US government has issued an 'landmark' executive order to regulate artificial intelligence and manage associated risks. The order establishes guidelines to protect citizens' privacy while attracting global AI talent. It aims to modernize and streamline visa processes for highly-skilled immigrants with AI expertise. This is expected to benefit Indian IT professionals in America through faster approvals for H1B, O-1, F1 visas and green cards in AI fields. Criteria for EB1-B and EB2 are also likely to change to prioritize AI workers. But it may not lead to additional green cards or country-specific benefits.

Israeli ground forces pushed deeper into Gaza City on Monday, advancing in tanks and armored vehicles and freeing a soldier captured by Hamas since their October 7th attack. The military said 19-year-old Private Ori Megidish was "doing well" after being rescued in Gaza and reunited with family, the first successful hostage retrieval. PM Netanyahu welcomed her home as showing Israel's commitment to its captives. Previously, the Israeli PM has rejected ceasefire calls, vowing no surrender to Hamas and continuation of the difficult war. The escalating ground incursion came as airstrikes hit a near-overflowing hospital in Gaza. Netanyahu remains defiant amid pressure and anger over Israel's failure to prevent Hamas's unprecedented deadly raid into Israeli border communities, said he had no plans to resign.
