Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered troops to move deeper into Lebanon after Israeli forces captured the historic Beaufort Castle and a nearby strategic ridge.   "We have broken the barrier of fear," Netanyahu said, describing the capture as a major achievement. He added that Israel aims to expand control over areas previously held by Hezbollah.   The advance marks Israel's biggest move into Lebanon in 25 years. Fighting has continued despite a ceasefire announced in April.   According to Lebanese authorities, more than 3,370 people have been killed in the conflict. Israel says Hezbollah attacks have also displaced thousands of residents.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said the company's US legal issues are now "behind us" and it is focusing on future growth. In his annual letter to shareholders, Adani said the group will continue investing heavily in infrastructure and AI-related sectors.   He highlighted investments in energy, transport, logistics, airports, data centres and manufacturing. The group spent more than ₹1.5 lakh crore on expansion during FY26.   Adani also said investor confidence remains strong, pointing to a ₹24,930 crore rights issue by Adani Enterprises.   "Before AI can think, energy must flow," he said, stressing the need for strong infrastructure. The Delhi High Court has ruled against Google in a trademark dispute involving sanitaryware brand Hindware. The court said Google cannot allow rival companies to use the trademarked keyword "Hindware" in its advertising platform.   The case was filed by HSIL Limited, the parent company of Hindware. The company argued that competitors were using its trademark to attract customers searching for Hindware products.   The court rejected Google's claim that it was only an intermediary. It said Google plays an active role by selling keywords and earning revenue from ads.   The ruling could affect online advertising practices across several industries.

Violence broke out across France after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won the UEFA Champions League. Authorities said 780 people were arrested and 219 were injured during clashes between fans and police.   French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez said, "We allow freedom of assembly, but not excesses." He added that security forces would be firm in dealing with troublemakers.   Police reported that 57 officers were injured. US F-15 fighter jet that crashed in southwest Iran in April may have been shot down by a Chinese-made shoulder-fired missile, according to a new report. US officials are investigating the incident, which could be the first time in decades that a US fighter jet was downed by enemy fire.   The two crew members safely ejected before the crash. One was rescued within hours, while the other was found after hiding in the mountains for nearly two days.   The report also claims China may have provided Iran with military equipment. Google has asked US regulators for permission to release up to 32 million specially treated mosquitoes in parts of California and Florida. The project aims to reduce the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.   The mosquitoes are designed to interfere with breeding and lower the number of insects that can carry harmful diseases. The releases would take place over two years in selected areas.   Before the project begins, federal authorities will review safety and environmental data. If approved, Google will monitor the results and study the impact on public health. The findings could help shape future mosquito control efforts in the United States.

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said a “true friendship” is developing between the United States and Pakistan's leadership, praising the roles of Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in regional peace efforts.   Speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, Hegseth described improving US-Pakistan ties as an important and unexpected development. He also said Washington does not currently view either India or Pakistan as a missile threat to the United States.   At the same time, Hegseth reaffirmed America's strategic partnership with India, calling it a critical anchor in South Asia and highlighting expanding defence cooperation between the two countries.
