Wet and windy weather is set to hit many parts of the UK this weekend, the Met Office said. A total of 22 flood warnings are in place in England, eight in Scotland, and six in Wales. IndiGo continued to face major flight disruptions on Saturday, with over 500 cancellations across India. Bengaluru was the worst hit with 124 cancellations. Passengers struggled at airports as delays and lost baggage added to the chaos. Airfares also rose sharply on several routes. The Centre ordered IndiGo to clear all pending refunds by Sunday and follow fare caps. Railways stepped in and announced 84 special trains to help stranded passengers. Southern and Central Railways also launched extra services on high-demand routes. IndiGo said it has restored 95% of its network and operated over 1,500 flights today.

Former Pentagon official Michael Rubin said US–India ties have weakened because of President Donald Trump’s “gross incompetence”. He claimed Trump was influenced by Pakistan’s “flattery” or even “bribery”. Rubin said Americans are shocked to see India moving closer to Russia as a result. He also called the US “hypocritical” for criticising India’s purchase of Russian oil while America also trades with Moscow. Rubin said India needs energy to grow and must protect its own interests. Russia carried out a major overnight attack on Ukraine, launching 653 drones and 51 missiles. Most were shot down, but a strike destroyed a railway station in Fastiv near Kyiv. The Centre is considering the removal of IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers after three days of major flight disruptions, government sources said. Officials told CNN-News18 that a heavy penalty may also be imposed on the airline. IndiGo may face cuts in its flight operations, with the government saying the carrier should only run flights that have full crew. The airline has been accused of stretching its schedule and causing massive delays and cancellations. IndiGo officials have been called to the Civil Aviation Ministry again.
