The UN Security Council has approved a US-backed resolution supporting President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza. The plan includes an International Stabilisation Force to work with Israel, Egypt and a new Palestinian police force to secure borders and disarm armed groups. Thirteen countries voted in favour, while Russia and China abstained. Hamas rejected the plan, saying it harms Palestinian rights and brings foreign control to Gaza. India and Russia held high-level interagency talks in New Delhi to review their full range of maritime cooperation. The meeting was led by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Nikolai Patrushev, a top aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Both sides said the discussions reflected their strong and long-term strategic partnership. They explored new areas of cooperation in shipbuilding, port development, maritime trade, science and technology. The two countries also discussed Arctic operations, training and logistics. A video of Dr Umar un Nabi, the main accused in the Red Fort blast, has surfaced online. In the clip, he calls suicide bombings a “misunderstood concept” and describes them as “martyrdom operations.” He says such attacks involve a person going to a place knowing he will die. The video was likely recorded before November 10. The blast near Red Fort killed over 10 people. The NIA says Nabi was driving the car that exploded. The agency has also arrested another alleged co-conspirator. Police are probing a larger plan involving coordinated suicide attacks.

Prashant Kishor took full responsibility after his Jan Suraaj Party failed to win any seat in the Bihar election. The party contested 238 seats but won none, getting only 3.44% votes. In many seats, it polled fewer votes than NOTA. Kishor said his team tried honestly but could not win people’s trust. He said he failed to explain why voters should support a new system. The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a travel advisory after Iran suspended its visa-waiver facility for Indian passport holders. From November 22, all Indian travellers must take a visa to enter or transit through Iran. The move follows several cases of Indians being tricked with fake job offers and then kidnapped for ransom after arriving in Iran. The MEA said many were lured by agents who misused Iran’s visa-free entry. Recent cases include men from Delhi and Punjab who were held hostage until their families paid ransom. Google CEO Sundar Pichai has warned that no company, including Google, would be safe if the AI bubble bursts. Speaking to the BBC, he said the current AI boom is exciting but also shows “irrational” signs, similar to the dot-com era. AI firms have seen huge growth, raising fears of over-investment. Pichai said Google can handle future risks because it controls its own chips, models, and data. He also spoke about rising energy needs, delays in climate goals, and the impact of AI on jobs. Top Maoist commander Madvi Hidma was killed in an encounter in Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sitharamaraju district. Police said the clash took place early in the morning in the Maredumilli forest near the Andhra, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana border. Six Maoists, including Hidma and his wife, were found dead. Hidma was wanted for 26 major attacks, including the 2010 Dantewada strike, the 2013 Jhiram Ghati attack, and the 2021 Sukma-Bijapur ambush. He carried a reward of ₹50 lakh. Top Maoist commander Madvi Hidma, carrying a Rs 50 lakh bounty, was killed in an Andhra Pradesh encounter alongside his second wife Raje and four other Maoists. The 43-year-old led 26 deadly attacks against security forces, including the 2010 Dantewada ambush killing 76 CRPF personnel and the 2013 Jhiram Valley massacre claiming 27 lives, including Congress leaders. Born in Sukma in 1981, Hidma headed PLGA Battalion No 1 and was the youngest Central Committee member and only Bastar tribal in CPI (Maoist) leadership.
