Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party has claimed that the Nitish Kumar government diverted ₹14,000 crore obtained from a World Bank loan to fund election campaigns. According to party leaders, the money was used for welfare payouts under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, transferring ₹10,000 each to 1.25 crore women voters. Jan Suraaj alleges this was a strategy to “buy votes” and influence the 2025 assembly elections. 

At least six people lost their lives and 14 others were injured when a vehicle carrying pilgrims collided with a stationary trailer near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The accident occurred while the group was returning from their spiritual journey; preliminary investigations indicate the trailer may have been parked without proper warning signs. Local authorities are probing the cause, including possible driver fatigue or poor visibility on the highway. Rescue operations continue, and the injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals. The tragedy has reignited concerns about road safety for pilgrims and highway vehicle markings in the region.  

ISRO chief V Narayanan said the space agency is entering one of its busiest periods, with seven more launches planned this financial year. These include PSLV and GSLV missions and a fully industry-built PSLV. He confirmed that Chandrayaan-4, a lunar sample-return mission, has been approved and will launch in 2028. ISRO is also working with Japan on the LUPEX mission to study water ice at the Moon’s South Pole. Narayanan said India will triple spacecraft production in three years and aims to place the first module of its space station in orbit by 2028. The Gaganyaan crewed mission remains set for 2027. The UK government will introduce major asylum reforms that will force refugees to wait 20 years before applying for permanent settlement. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will announce the changes on Monday. Under the plan, refugees will get temporary status for two-and-a-half years, after which their cases will be reviewed. If their home country is declared safe, they will have to return. Mahmood said the rules are meant to stop illegal boat crossings. Party president Uday Singh said the Nitish Kumar government spent nearly ₹40,000 crore since June to influence voters. He said cash transfers to women under welfare schemes continued even a day before voting. Pavan Verma also alleged that money meant for other projects was used for payouts. New details in the Delhi Red Fort blast probe show that suspect Dr Mohammad Umar un-Nabi hid in a rented room in Haryana’s Nuh until a day before the attack. Police say he stayed inside during the day and stepped out only after dark. He used multiple mobile phones and was seen in Faridabad repairing one of them. He fled to Nuh after his close aide was arrested. The family who rented him the room said he left suddenly on November 9. Twelve people died when the i20 car exploded near Red Fort. Rohini Acharya, daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has quit politics and cut ties with her family. She said Tejashwi Yadav’s two close aides abused her, insulted her, and even tried to hit her with a slipper. In emotional posts, she said she left her parents and sisters because she refused to give up her self-respect. She accused aides Sanjay Yadav and Rameez of ruining the party and forcing her out. South African intelligence is investigating a charter plane that landed in Johannesburg carrying over 150 Palestinians from Gaza without proper documentation. The passengers were held on the tarmac for nearly 12 hours, with reports of cramped conditions, little food or water, and no Israeli exit stamps on their passports.
