Mumbai Police's Anti Narcotics Cell uncovered a major drug syndicate linked to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, operated by wanted drug lord Salim Dola from Dubai. The network supplied mephedrone (M-Cat/Meow Meow) across seven-eight Indian states and internationally. Dola's son, Taher Dola, extradited from UAE in August, revealed during interrogation that numerous Bollywood actors, models, rappers, filmmakers, and Dawood's relatives attended drug parties he organized domestically and abroad. Confidential documents accessed by India Today name several prominent personalities allegedly involved. New CCTV footage has changed the Andhra Pradesh bus fire investigation that killed 19 people in Kurnool. Police say the biker had already died after hitting a road divider before the bus arrived. His bike lay on the road, but passing vehicles ignored it. Moments later, a Kaveri Travels bus ran over the bike, dragging it for nearly 200 metres and causing a massive fire. The bus was also carrying mobile phones, which may have worsened the blaze. Officials are now probing negligence by the bus driver, the company, and other motorists who failed to stop or report the hazard.

Al-Falah University director Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui is under investigation after records showed his links to 15 companies in sectors like education, software, and agribusiness. Seven of these firms share the same Jamia Nagar address in Delhi, with several directors also connected to the university. Al-Falah University in Faridabad is facing action after the Red Fort blast probe revealed links to its medical college. Many firms shared the same Delhi address and later became inactive. The Enforcement Directorate is also probing the university’s funding. Dr Shaheena Saeed, a key suspect in the Delhi Red Fort blast, reportedly told colleagues that her “real work” began after 4 pm, once she finished teaching at Al Falah University in Faridabad. Investigators believe she led the women’s wing of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Colleagues said she often carried a rosary and religious books and broke university rules by leaving campus without notice. The university, which recently received a NAAC show-cause notice, has denied any link to the case and said it is fully cooperating with the investigation into the November 10 terror blast.
