External affairs minister S. Jaishankar told the Lok Sabha that there was “no call” between PM Modi and then-US President Donald Trump between April 22 and June 17, rejecting Trump’s claim that a trade offer helped bring about a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Jaishankar insisted there was “no linkage” between trade and Operation Sindoor, which India launched on May 7 after the Pahalgam terror attack. Defence minister Rajnath Singh also said Operation Sindoor was paused after achieving objectives and not due to any external pressure. Aishanya Dwivedi, wife of Pahalgam terror victim Shubham Dwivedi, said the pain will stay but some peace has come. Her husband was shot dead by terrorists in April while they were on holiday in Kashmir. Now, two of those terrorists have been killed in an Army operation called "Operation Mahadev." Aishanya told NDTV, “It’s a good start. The people who did this are dead. I believe our Army will finish the rest too.” She called terrorism a cancer that must be ended. The Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police killed three terrorists, including Pahalgam attack mastermind Hashim Musa, in Operation Mahadev. The joint operation was launched after a satellite phone signal was traced to the Dachigam forest. The terrorists, linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, were caught off guard while resting in a tent. Sources said the trio was under watch for 14 days. Musa, also known as Abu Suleman, was believed to have changed his appearance to escape detection. The April 2025 Pahalgam attack killed 26 civilians. U.S. President Donald Trump said he will put a 15% to 20% tariff on goods from countries that don’t have trade deals with the U.S. The new rule will start on August 1. US President Donald Trump has told Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree to a Ukraine ceasefire within 10 to 12 days or face harsh economic penalties. Speaking in Scotland, Trump said talks had failed and there was "no reason to wait." He warned of 100% tariffs on countries trading with Russia. Earlier, Trump gave a 50-day deadline. Now he says time is running out. Russia has not agreed to the demands. Ukraine supports Trump’s pressure, saying Putin only respects strength. Talks hosted by Turkey have stalled. 7 Indian workers in Singapore were praised for saving a woman whose car fell into a sinkhole. The accident happened on Tanjong Katong Road South on Saturday. The workers pulled the driver out safely. They were later given ‘MOM Ace coins’ by Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower. Minister Dinesh Vasu Dash visited their dormitory on Sunday to thank them. He shared a video on Facebook and called them heroes. He said their quick actions made a big difference. The minister also thanked all migrant workers for their role in Singapore’s growth and for their kind and brave acts in daily life.

US President Donald Trump denied visiting Jeffrey Epstein’s private island during a press meet after talks with UK PM Sir Keir Starmer. Trump said, “I never went to the island. I turned it down.” He claimed he cut ties with Epstein years ago after a dispute. “He hired my staff. I told him not to. He did it again. I threw him out,” Trump said. Security officials confirmed that a satellite phone signal led Indian forces to the hiding spot of Suleiman Shah, the mastermind of the April Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26. Shah, also known as Hashim Moosa, was neutralised during a joint operation,  codenamed Operation Mahadev by the Indian Army and J&K Police in the forests near Dachigam National Park. Forces intercepted communication between Shah and his handlers across the border, which revealed his exact location. Two other terrorists, including Jibran, linked to the Sonamarg tunnel attack were also killed. Officials say Shah was found resting in a hidden tent. At meeting in US President Donald Trump’s Turnberry golf club in Scotland, Trump and UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer discussed the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
