A 26-year-old woman collapsed during a Home Guard physical test in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, and was allegedly gang-raped in a moving ambulance while unconscious. The assault occurred on July 24 during her transport to a hospital. She later informed police that three to four men attacked her. An FIR was filed, and two suspects ambulance driver Vinay Kumar and technician Ajit Kumar were arrested. CCTV footage confirmed the vehicle’s route. A Special Investigation Team and forensic experts are probing the case. Political leaders, including Chirag Paswan, condemned the incident, calling it a failure of law and order in Bihar. Legal aid clinics have been set up at Sainik Welfare Boards across India, staffed by panel lawyers, retired servicemen, and para-legal volunteers. Russia has offered India a localized version of its cutting-edge T-14 Armata main battle tank, one of the most advanced in the world. On July 23, 2025, the Government of India informed Parliament that the flagship Gaganyaan human spaceflight program is firmly on track. All critical components—including the human‑rated LVM3 launch vehicle, crew escape system, and propulsion systems—have been successfully developed and tested. Infrastructure such as crew training centers, the Gaganyaan Control Centre, and launch pad modifications are complete. A test vehicle (TV‑D1) has validated the escape system, while further trials (TV‑D2, IADT‑01) are underway. The first uncrewed mission (Gaganyaan‑1) is progressing through final assembly and system checks.
