The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has begun decoding the black box data from Air India Flight AI171, which crashed on June 12 shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad. The Cockpit Voice Recorder and Flight Data Recorder were recovered on June 13 and 16 and flown to Delhi on June 24 by the Indian Air Force under full security. Data extraction began the same evening with experts from AAIB and the US National Transportation Safety Board. A woman drove her car on railway tracks from Shankarpally to Hyderabad, causing panic and halting train services. The incident happened on Thursday and was caught on video.
