Sonam Raghuvanshi, accused of murdering her husband Raja Raghuvanshi during their honeymoon in Meghalaya, was arrested in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Authorities allege Sonam conspired with her boyfriend, Raj Kushwaha, and hired three men to execute the crime. Raja’s decomposed body was found in a gorge a week after the couple went missing. A massive fire erupted at Sabad Apartment in Delhi’s Dwarka Sector 13 around 10 am on June 10, engulfing flats on the 6th–9th floors. Thick smoke and visible flames drew eight fire tenders, later reinforced, as officials feared 2–3 individuals trapped inside. In a tragic attempt to escape, two 10‑year‑olds—a boy and a girl and their father, Yash Yadav, leapt from their 7th‑floor balcony. The children died at Aakash Hospital, and Yadav passed away at IGI Hospital. Yadav’s wife and elder son survived and are receiving treatment. Authorities evacuated all residents, shut off power and gas, and deployed DDA and MCD to inspect structural integrity.

Israel deported Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg after intercepting a Gaza-bound aid boat on June 9. The Karnataka High Court on Monday sharply criticised the state government over the June 4 Bengaluru stampede that killed 11 people before RCB’s victory parade. Delhi sweltered on June  9–10 as the India Meteorological Department warned of escalating heatwave conditions. Maninder Singh, a techie who spent 3 years in the US, now runs a rajma-chawal food stall in Mohali. Contrary to viral claims, Singh clarified he was not deported but chose to return to his motherland after his father’s death. A video showcasing Singh’s stall, shared on the popular Instagram channel ‘Foodler’ gone viral eventually. In the video, Singh whipped out his driving license from New York as proof that he once lived in the Big Apple. He explained that he has 12 years of total work experience in tech, retail, call centres and IT. Now, his affordable ₹60-plate meals are popular among locals. Singh says he has no regrets and takes pride in serving quality food to the community.
