Police found tyre marks and a broken door, calling it a “malicious act.” About 45,000 homes, Nice Airport, and nearby towns lost electricity. Power was restored later in the morning. This comes just a day after a blackout in Cannes affected 160,000 homes during the film festival. Both incidents are suspected sabotage, though no link is confirmed yet. A part of the roof at Terminal 1 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport collapsed early Sunday after heavy rainfall. The damaged membrane structure had been installed after last year’s fatal incident. Delhi International Airport said the section adjusted under pressure to release water and there was no damage to the main structure. Flight operations were hit, with 49 flights diverted between 11:30 PM and 4 AM. Many roads across the city saw heavy waterlogging and traffic jams. The India Meteorological Department recorded 81.2 mm of rain and strong winds up to 82 kmph in just six hours overnight.

MS Dhoni has said he will take a break before deciding on his IPL 2026 future. After CSK’s big win against GT, Dhoni said, “I’m not saying I’m done, and I’m not saying I’m coming back either.” He added, “I have 4-5 months to decide. I’ll go back to Ranchi, enjoy some bike rides, and then think about it.” Dhoni said it takes “50% more effort every year” to stay fit. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has expelled his son, Tej Pratap Yadav, from the party for six years. The decision came after Tej Pratap shared photos of a woman on social media, claiming a 12-year relationship. He later deleted the post, saying his account was hacked. Lalu said his son’s actions go against the party’s and family’s values. Tej Pratap has often made headlines for controversial behaviour and has criticised other party leaders, including his brother Tejashwi. RJD leaders supported Lalu’s decision. Abdul Latif, a Baloch journalist, was shot dead in his home in Balochistan's Awaran district. Unknown gunmen tried to kidnap him. When he resisted, they killed him in front of his wife and children. Latif had reported on human rights issues and worked with Daily Intikhab and Aaj News. His son and other relatives were also found dead months ago after being kidnapped. Journalist groups and human rights activists have condemned the killing. They say it is part of Pakistan's "kill and dump" policy. On May 25, 2025, Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of at least 23 Palestinians, including journalist Hassan Majdi Abu Warda and senior civil emergency official Ashraf Abu Nar, along with his wife. Abu Warda's death brings the total number of journalists killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to 220, according to Gaza’s media office. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on May 26–27, 2025, to inaugurate and lay the foundation for development projects worth over ₹53,414 crore. The visit will span Bhuj, Dahod, and Gandhinagar. In Bhuj, he will launch 33 major initiatives, including solar PV plants, new power substations, water supply upgrades, and road expansions. In Dahod, PM Modi will inaugurate India’s first 9,000 HP locomotive engine plant, a ₹20,000 crore project.
