Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reportedly decided to let retired police dogs stay with the force and their handlers. The move has won praise online. Police dogs usually retire after 10 years of service. Earlier, many were sent for adoption after retirement. This could upset dogs due to sudden changes in their routine and surroundings.
