Prince Harry and Meghan visited a refugee camp and hospital in Jordan as part of a two-day trip to the Middle East. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Amman at the invitation of World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.   They met children at the Za’atari refugee camp and visited a youth centre run by Questscope. The couple joined music classes and played football with young people. They also attended a WHO roundtable with UN officials and donors.   The visit aims to highlight support for communities affected by conflict and displacement. The Enforcement Directorate has attached businessman Anil Ambani’s Mumbai home as part of a money laundering investigation. The property, called ‘Abode’, is valued at ₹3,716 crore and is located in Pali Hill.   Sources said a provisional attachment order was issued in connection with an alleged bank fraud case linked to Reliance Communications. Ambani has been summoned to appear before the agency on February 26. He was earlier questioned in August 2025 under the PMLA.   So far, the ED has attached assets worth ₹12,000 crore in the case and filed three ECIRs against Reliance Group companies. The NCERT may remove a chapter on “judicial corruption” from a Class 8 social science textbook after objections from the Supreme Court. The council has already taken the book off its website.   A three-judge bench took suo motu note of what it called “objectionable” remarks about the judiciary. The bench said no one can be allowed to defame the judiciary or hurt its integrity.   The chapter cited data on case backlogs and a quote by former CJI B R Gavai. Sources said the quote was taken out of context. NCERT has called an internal meeting to review the content.

Bill Gates has apologised to staff at the Gates Foundation after fresh scrutiny over his past links with Jeffrey Epstein. During a town hall, Gates said spending time with Epstein was “a huge mistake.” He added, “I apologise to other people who are drawn into this because of the mistake that I made.”   Gates also acknowledged two affairs with Russian women mentioned in newly released documents. He said these were not connected to Epstein’s victims. “I did nothing illicit. I saw nothing illicit,” he told employees.   The controversy followed the release of US Justice Department records. An Indian entrepreneur has said he sold his company in Sweden and is leaving the country due to issues with the immigration system. Abhijith Nag Balasubramanya, founder and CEO of Hydro Space Sweden AB, shared his decision in a LinkedIn post.   “Today, I am officially stepping down… This isn’t an exit by choice. It is an eviction,” he wrote. He described the migration process as “incompetent” and “hostile.”   He said officials changed the grounds for rejection and did not give clear guidance. Balasubramanya added he would return to India to focus on his mental health. His post drew mixed reactions online. (PC: NDTV)

US President Donald Trump said he will ask federal agencies to start releasing files related to aliens and UFOs. He made the announcement on Truth Social. Earlier, Trump criticised former President Barack Obama for saying on a podcast that “aliens are real.” Trump said, “He’s not supposed to be doing that… He made a big mistake.”   When asked if he believes in aliens, Trump said, “I don’t know if they’re real or not.”   Obama later clarified on Instagram that he saw no evidence of extraterrestrial contact during his presidency. Pakistan’s Senate has unanimously condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal for a “hexagon of alliances” that names India and other countries as partners in a strategic bloc against what he termed “radical axes”. Lawmakers described the plan as an attempt to undermine the unity and integrity of the Muslim Ummah and threaten regional peace. The resolution, moved by PPP senator Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan, also criticised Israel’s settlement expansion, disregard for international law and recognition of Somaliland’s independence, reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast support for Palestinian self-determination. Following viral claims by Indian travel influencer Sachin Awasthi that he was denied entry and detained for 38 hours upon arrival at Jeju Island, the Indian Embassy in Seoul released a detailed travel advisory for Indians visiting under the visa-waiver scheme. The embassy clarified that visa-free entry does not guarantee admission, as South Korean immigration authorities make final decisions.
