On the night of May 7–8, the Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a Pakistani intruder in Punjab's Ferozpur sector. The individual was seen crossing the International Border under the cover of darkness and advancing towards the security fence. BSF personnel challenged him and neutralised the threat. The intruder's body was handed over to local police, and suspected Pakistani farm chemicals were recovered from him. The incident occurred just a day after India's Operation Sindoor targeted terror camps in Pakistan.
