In Bharuch, Gujarat, Pravin Mishra was apprehended for allegedly divulging classified information on DRDO's drones to Pakistan's ISI. Mishra, employed by a DRDO-affiliated organization in Hyderabad, fell prey to a honey-trap scheme orchestrated by an ISI agent posing as an IBM employee named Sonal Garg. Gujarat CID's ADGP Rajkumar Pandian disclosed that Mishra's phone led to the revelation, prompting charges under IPC section 123 and the IT Act. The ISI, targeting individuals linked to defense establishments, exploited Mishra's role in an organization collaborating with DRDO. Mishra confessed to sharing sensitive data, indicative of a broader espionage campaign.

Indian-American Republican leader Vivek Ramaswamy faced racial remarks from right-wing commentator Ann Coulter, who stated she wouldn't vote for him "'because you're an Indian'," despite agreeing with his views. India has surpassed Japan to become the world's third-largest solar power generator in 2023, according to a report by Ember, a global energy think tank. Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi, a 25-year-old Indian student from Telangana, has been missing in Chicago since May 2. The Concordia University student was last heard from when he spoke to his father on WhatsApp that afternoon. His roommates reported that he went to meet someone from Texas, but his whereabouts remain unknown. The Indian Consulate in Chicago is deeply concerned and is working with the police to locate him. The Chicago police have issued a notice seeking information from the public. Rupesh's family is worried and appeals for any information that could help find him.
