To mark the 15th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks, a day-long poster exhibition was organised in Geneva on Thursday, November 24. A Qatar court has agreed to hear India's appeal against the death sentence given to eight former Indian navy personnel arrested last year on alleged spying charges while working for a Doha firm. Aaditya Adlakha, a 26-year-old Indian doctoral student at the University of Cincinnati Medical School, met a tragic end after being shot inside a car in Ohio. The incident, described as "sudden, tragic, and senseless" by the medical school, occurred on November 9 when police found Adlakha shot inside a vehicle that crashed into a wall. According to UK Home Office data, Indian skilled workers, medical professionals, and students maintained their prominence in the UK's visa statistics for the year ending September 2023. Indian nationals topped both the Skilled Worker and Health and Care Visa routes. While Skilled Worker visas saw a modest 9% increase, Health and Care Visa grants surged by 135%. Four Indian nationals studying in Singapore were imprisoned between 40 to 65 days for conspiring to steal over SGD 1,700 worth of apparel from a Uniqlo store. Pew Research Centre's latest report exposes a notable rise in unauthorized immigrants in the US, with Indians forming the third-largest group at 725,000, trailing Mexico and El Salvador.
