RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat has called for urgent attention to the situation in Manipur, stating that it "should be discussed on priority." Addressing the RSS worker's development class in Nagpur, Bhagwat remarked, “Manipur has been looking for peace for a year now. It should be discussed on priority.” He noted that the state, which had been peaceful for the past decade, is now suffering from renewed ethnic tensions. Since May 2023, Manipur has witnessed violence following clashes over the Meitei community’s demand for Scheduled Tribe status. Bhagwat stressed it is a "duty to prioritize it and take note of it."
