Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been sent to 5-day Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody in connection with a money laundering case involving illegal possession of land parcels. Arrested on Jan 31, Soren was remanded to one-day judicial custody on Thursday. The Supreme Court declined to intervene, directing his lawyers to seek relief from the high court.
