Ioan Pintaru, 32, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article after allegedly stabbing an 11-year-old girl in Leicester Square, London. The girl, who was found with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to hospital. Initial reports incorrectly suggested her mother was also injured. Pintaru, who has no fixed address, has been remanded in custody and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court. The Victoria Line is now the hottest line on the London Underground, with an average platform temperature of 28.2°C in 2023, according to Transport for London (TfL). Abdullah, A 29-year-old security guard disarmed a 32-year-old knifeman after an 11-year-old girl and her 34-year-old mother were stabbed in London’s Leicester Square. Abdullah said he heard a scream and jumped on the attacker, disarming him and holding him until police arrived. "I just saw a kid getting stabbed, and I just tried to save her. It's my duty to just save them," Abdullah stated. The attacker, who did not know the victims, was arrested at the scene. The Metropolitan Police praised Abdullah's bravery.
