U.S. General Charles Brown warned Iran not to get involved in the Israel crisis and said he doesn't want the conflict to broaden, as Hezbollah fired rockets into northern Israel. The White House said Iran is complicit despite no evidence of direct involvement in Hamas attacks. When asked his message to Iran, Brown said "Not to get involved." Shelling on Lebanon killed 3 Hezbollah militants and an Israeli officer, expanding the Israel-Gaza conflict. Brown said the U.S. aims to send Iran a strong message not to broaden the crisis. The U.S. is surging fresh security assistance to Israel to help respond to Hamas's unprecedented attack.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that Tehran was not involved in the major Hamas attack on Israel over the weekend that killed hundreds. However, he praised the assault, saying it caused irreparable damage to Israel's military and intelligence capabilities. Israel has long accused Iran of supporting Hamas, which Tehran denies beyond moral and financial backing. Khamenei's comments come as Israel continues heavy airstrikes on Gaza after regaining control of the border area. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu dialled him on Tuesday to provide an update on the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas. Modi stated that Indians stand firmly with Israelis during this difficult time and said India "condemns terrorism in all its forms".He thanked Netanyahu for the call and update on the situation. Modi's comments come as Israel continues heavy airstrikes on Gaza after a major Hamas attack killed hundreds in Israel.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar seeking intervention to ensure the safety of Indians, including around 7,000 Keralites, stranded in Israel amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas. In his letter, Vijayan expressed concern over the hardship faced by Indian civilians as hostilities continue. The United Nations announced Tuesday that over 187,000 Gazans have fled their homes after three days of Israeli airstrikes, the largest internal displacement in Gaza since 2014. More than 137,000 are sheltering in 83 UN schools, while 41,000 have been taken in by families. The number is expected to increase as strikes continue. The UN agency for Palestinians said its Gaza field office suffered collateral damage from strikes. The UK is bracing for cooler, wetter weather this week after hot temperatures over the weekend led to major flooding in Scotland.
