Three UK airports including Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands have been hit by a cyberattack that exposed personal data belonging to about 8.7 million customers. Manchester Airports Group (MAG), which operates all three airports, said hackers accessed information linked to car park, lounge and fast-track bookings, as well as airport Wi-Fi registrations. The compromised data included email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registration numbers and postcodes. MAG said bank and payment information was not stored on the affected system and that passenger safety, aviation security and normal airport operations remained unaffected. Russia on Thursday warned that it could strike British military targets inside and outside Ukraine in response to Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory using British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles. US President Donald Trump on Thursday offered Nepal “any help” it needs after devastating flash floods and landslides struck the Nepal-Tibet border, calling the disaster “terrible.” Trump said Washington had contacted Nepal’s leadership and was sending aid. Search and rescue operations continue across debris-strewn valleys and hillsides, with at least 392 people killed and 1,468 missing in Nepal and Tibet. Nepal reported 910 missing, including 517 foreigners, while Tibet reported 558 missing, including 260 foreigners. Nepal’s Tourism Board separately listed 667 missing tourists and travellers. The US State Department said 90 Americans were unaccounted for; three were rescued. Washington is sending a disaster response adviser and $500,000 in aid.

China has tightened restrictions on media coverage of the Nepal-Tibet flash floods and landslides that have killed at least 362 people, with more than 1,400 still unaccounted for. Chinese authorities have released limited information, while state media has focused largely on rescue and relief efforts. Videos filmed by Tibet residents, including footage of a mudslide engulfing a border crossing in Gyirong County, were reportedly removed from Chinese social media. Ratko Mladić, the former Bosnian Serb military commander known as the “Butcher of Bosnia,” has died aged 84 while serving a life sentence in The Hague. Mladić was convicted in 2017 of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the 1992–95 Bosnian war. He was held responsible for the 1995 Srebrenica massacre, in which more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were killed, and for the prolonged siege of Sarajevo.
