Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced the completion of the Urban Extension Road 2 (UER 2), the country's first elevated eight-lane access control expressway. This project aims to significantly reduce travel time from Kundli on the Delhi-Haryana border to Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) from two hours to just 20 minutes. Equipped with automated toll collection and an Efficient Transport System, the UER 2 features various levels of road networks, enhancing connectivity and easing traffic between Delhi and Gurugram. The expressway is set to open to the public within the next two to three months, bringing relief to commuters.
