Lukose, a Kerala native working in Kuwait for 18 years, tragically perished in a fire that claimed 49 lives and injured 50 others. He had recently purchased a mobile phone to celebrate his elder daughter's outstanding performance in her class 12 exams. Initially hopeful after a brief phone call during the fire, his fate was confirmed by friends and church members later that day. Survived by his elderly parents, wife, and two daughters, Lukose's planned visit home to Bengaluru for his daughter's nursing course admission now ends in mourning for his family and community in Kollam, Kerala.
