Three military horses that escaped in central London earlier this year will participate in Trooping the Colour. Following their April dash through the city, Tennyson, Trojan, and Vanquish of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment have recovered and will fulfill ceremonial duties. Tennyson, part of the Sovereign's Escort, leads their return to service. Meanwhile, Vida and Quaker, more severely injured, are recuperating at The Horse Trust. Despite initial concerns raised by animal rights groups, the event celebrating the monarch's birthday will proceed with these horses contributing to its traditional pageantry.
