Over 15 people, including an Orthodox priest and policemen, died in terror attacks in Dagestan, Russia. Armed men attacked churches, synagogues, and a police post in Derbent and Makhachkala. 7 law enforcement officers and a church security guard were among the dead. Priest was killed in Derbent. Russian authorities launched a counter-terrorist operation, killing at least 4 attackers. The attacks are under investigation as terrorist acts. Dagestan's head, Sergey Melikov, urged calm and announced three days of mourning.
