Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old registered Republican from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, has been identified by the FBI as the assailant in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. Crooks was fatally shot by US Secret Service agents at a Republican rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear. One bystander was killed, and two others were critically injured during the incident.
