Thomas Matthew Crooks, who shot and injured former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, PA, was reportedly bullied in high school. Classmates recalled Crooks being nicknamed "the school shooter" and teased for his poor hygiene and appearance. Julianna Grooms, a former classmate, described Crooks as an "easy target" who preferred to avoid attention. Video footage shows Crooks being pranked in class. However, former school counselor Jim Knapp disputed claims of bullying. Crooks was shot and killed by law enforcement after the incident.
