Thomas Crooks, the gunman who shot former President Donald Trump, was captured on video lurking near the rally stage just an hour before the attack. The footage, taken by a rally attendee, shows Crooks, 20, near a building he later climbed to fire at Trump. Despite Secret Service suspicions due to a rangefinder in his possession, Crooks managed to retrieve his rifle from his car and shoot Trump through the ear, wounding him. Crooks also killed retired fire chief Corey Comperatore. Investigators found explosives in his car and believe he acted alone.
