Hamburg Airport Resumes Operations After Iran Plane Threat

Germany's Hamburg airport has restored flight operations after temporarily halting takeoffs and landings due to a bomb threat against an Iranian passenger plane. Police searched the Tehran-origin plane with 198 people following an emailed threat, assisted by the air force which escorted it into German airspace. Interviewing passengers is standard procedure for serious threats. The airport fire brigade's involvement in the search prompted the flight suspension. Operations resumed after the threat was deemed not credible and the plane cleared.
