Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of ousted Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has reversed his earlier statement about his mother’s return to Bangladesh. After initially claiming she wouldn’t return, Joy now says Hasina will come back once democracy is restored. Hasina, who fled to India amid protests, has been moved to a safe location. Joy also criticized Pakistan’s ISI for allegedly fueling unrest in Bangladesh. Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, now leading an interim government, has called for calm amid ongoing violence.
