Ukraine has proposed to cease its surprise incursion into Russia’s Kursk region if Moscow agrees to a "just peace." Ukrainian forces, having entered the region last week, captured over two dozen settlements in the largest cross-border attack on Russian soil since World War II. Kyiv emphasized that it does not intend to hold onto Russian territory and is ready to halt further raids. The Ukrainian military currently controls around 1,000 square kilometers of Russian territory. Russia claims to have repelled additional attacks and accused Ukraine of receiving support from the West in this offensive.
