Hamas operatives are seen pacifying crying infants, and a child is prompted to say "Bismillah" while being offered water. Israel and the US are committed to freeing the hostages, believed to be held in Hamas hideouts across densely populated Gaza Strip. Thousands of Palestinians fled southern Gaza due to an anticipated ground offensive. Hamas has been criticized for using residents as shields.
