On August 26, 2024, Russia launched a series of drone and missile attacks on Kyiv and several other Ukrainian cities. At least seven explosions were reported over Kyiv, causing significant damage and triggering a nationwide alert. The southern regions of Odesa and Zaporizhzhia, along with Kharkiv in the north, also experienced explosions. In Lutsk, an apartment building was hit, resulting in one death, while an attack on an industrial site in Poltava injured five.
