Russia launched one of its largest air attacks on Ukraine, targeting more than half of the country’s regions with missiles and drones. At least seven people were killed, and dozens were injured. The attacks, which started overnight on August 26 and continued into August 27, damaged power infrastructure, causing widespread blackouts and triggering a nationwide air raid alert. Russia confirmed targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and claimed all targets were hit. In Kryvyi Rih, a missile strike on a civilian building resulted in one death and five people missing. Ukraine’s air force reported intercepting 102 missiles and 99 drones during the assault.
