Sarah Rahanuma, a newsroom editor at Bangladesh's Gazi TV, was found dead in Dhaka's Hatirjheel Lake. Pedestrians discovered her body and rushed her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where she was declared dead around 2:00 a.m. Sarah had posted emotional messages on Facebook before her death. Police are investigating the incident. Sajeeb Wazed, son of ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, called it a brutal attack on freedom of expression, linking it to the recent arrest of Golam Dastagir Gazi, the owner of Gazi TV.
