The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released dramatic footage showing the rescue of Qaid Farhan Alkadi, a fifty-two-year-old Israeli hostage, from a Hamas tunnel in southern Gaza. Alkadi, a Bedouin community member from Rahat, was abducted during the Hamas attack on October 7 last year. The video shows Alkadi expressing gratitude to the soldiers and giving a thumbs-up as he was transported to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba. Alkadi, a father of eleven, was among eight Arab Bedouins kidnapped. The operation was part of ongoing efforts in the eleven-month Israel-Hamas conflict.
