Relief convoys waiting in Egypt have started moving towards the Rafah border crossing with Gaza to provide aid to Palestinians under Israeli bombardment since October 7. Egypt has kept the crossing closed as Israel struck the Palestinian side repeatedly. Aid groups said hundreds of trucks left from El Arish towards Rafah, a 40 km journey. Red Crescent confirmed convoys were assembling at the divided Rafah city. An official said they were nearing a deal to allow entry of aid and exit of foreigners. Over 2750 Palestinians have died in the Israeli strikes following Hamas' attack that killed 1400+ Israelis. Aid from multiple agencies has piled up in Egypt's Sinai as appeals grow to establish a humanitarian corridor into blockaded Gaza.
