Elon Musk has removed a post joking about why there were "no" attempts to kill US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. This followed backlash after a second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Musk's post came after Trump was targeted by a shooter at a Florida golf club on Sunday. The suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, was later arrested. In response to the criticism, Musk said, “Just because I say something to a group and they laugh doesn’t mean it's going to be all that hilarious as a post.”
