In response to allegations of 'animal fat' in Tirupati laddus, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) plans to install an in-house adulteration testing machine to ensure the purity of ghee used in the sacred offerings. Executive Officer Shyamala Rao announced that the advanced equipment, donated by the National Dairy Development Board, is expected to be operational by December or January. This initiative follows recent lab tests confirming animal fat in ghee samples, leading TTD to halt supplies and blacklist the contractor. TTD aims to restore the sanctity of the laddus offered at the Sri Venkateswara temple.
