Following Israel's largest aerial offensive against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, the group confirmed the death of top commander Ibrahim Mohammed Kobeissi. Hezbollah stated that Kobeissi was "martyred on the road to Jerusalem," a phrase they use for fighters killed in Israeli strikes. The Israeli military indicated that at least two additional commanders from Kobeissi's unit were also killed in the attacks. Lebanese officials report that the airstrikes have resulted in at least 558 deaths, including 50 children, and more than 1,800 injuries. Most casualties occurred in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region, where Hezbollah maintains a strong presence.
