Senior U.S. officials have indicated that a ceasefire deal along the Israel-Lebanon border is expected to be implemented 'in the coming hours.' Following extensive diplomatic efforts, the ceasefire is planned for 21 days along the demarcation line known as the Blue Line, allowing both sides to negotiate a resolution to the ongoing conflict that escalated after Hezbollah's attack on October 8. While this ceasefire focuses solely on the northern border, it is hoped that it will facilitate progress regarding the situation in Gaza. The U.S. official stated that a pause in fighting between Israel and Hezbollah would create "space" for further discussions related to Gaza.
