A document obtained by the CBI reveals that the postmortem of a junior doctor, a rape and murder victim from Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College, was requested by her father and protesting junior doctors. The demands included conducting the autopsy at RG Kar, video documentation, judicial oversight, and the presence of female surgeons. Allegations had arisen questioning the integrity of the postmortem, with claims it was influenced by former Principal Sandip Ghosh. Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh urged the doctors to clarify the authenticity of the document and address the suppression accusations.
