Israel has reportedly eliminated senior Hezbollah commander Nabil Kaouk, following the assassination of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike. Hezbollah has yet to confirm Kaouk's death, but his supporters began posting mourning messages. Kaouk, who previously served as Hezbollah's military commander in southern Lebanon, was also sanctioned by the U.S. in 2020. Israel continues its targeted strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon, displacing thousands. The UN estimates over 211,000 people have been forced to relocate amid intensified Israeli attacks on Beirut’s southern suburbs.
